On 4 June 2018, His Excellency Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand, presented the Letter of Credentials to His Excellency Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan. This ceremony marks the official appointment of His Excellency Mr. Atthakor as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of South Sudan, with residence in Nairobi. Following the presentation of credentials, the two sides discussed the ways to further enhance bilateral relations between the two countries, including in the areas of technical cooperation and Thailand’s participation in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).
